Harvest VoxBox Review

I love Influenster! They always send the BEST products to sample. For the past month I've been trying all sorts of goodies from the Harvest Voxbox. And I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I have loved all of it!

My favorite product to test was Tree Hut Coconut Lime Shea Body Butter. I have to be honest though - this wasn't my first time trying it. I first heard about 7 years ago when I was a CNA. I had to apply lotion to an elderly woman and this was her favorite brand because it worked! It smells like heaven! I loved the scent so much that I actually bought myself some. And that's when I found out how much my skin loved it. And I buy it as a gift for people all of the time now. I have yet to find anyone that doesn't like it. I usually get the Almond Honey scent for friends just in case they don't like citrus scents as much as I do. And trust me, the Almond Honey is amazing too! The one that I really want to try is Mango, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. So if you really love me my birthday is in a few months... (hint hint)

I had never tried Gain until a couple of months ago and now it's all I use. I first tried their scent by Febreeze when I was cleaning the office at work. I fell in love instantly. I tried it again when I was cleaning somebody's apartment and I couldn't get enough. I had to buy some for myself. And then I bought their dryer sheets. I cannot get enough of the scent. It actually stays with my clothes and keeps me smelling beautiful and clean all week long. And now Influenster sent me the laundry detergent to try. And they sent 2 different s ents - Orange Blossom Vanilla and White Tea & Lavender. Both are amazing! And now I am completely addicted to Gain. Everything smells like it in my house and I love it!

Now let's talk about my hair! Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer really is a little bottle of magic. It does it all: nourishes, detangles, softens, strengthens, adds shine, cuts drying time, reduces frizz, and protects against thermal, environmental, and UV damage. There really are 10 benefits all in one bottle! And it is great for ALL hair types. It has a very soft, sweet scent that I love. I get compliments on my hair constantly. You kust add it to damp hair and off you go. You gotta try it! But be warned- you're gonna fall in love and you'll be running to the store to get some.

My girls and I love going to the mall just so that we have an excuse to get PretzelMaker bites. We LOVE pretzels. We could eat them every day and never get sick of them. I was really hesitant to try a microwaved pretzel though. I really hate using the microwave. It ruins food. But Cole's Middles definitely held up. They are perfect for snacking. We all love them and fight over the last one at my house. And now I don't have to brave the crazy holiday mall shoppers when I get a craving. I just go straight to my freezer. And there are so many yummy flavors to try!

Vera Wang Embrace. Just the name alone makes you smell classy. I'm not much of a floral person myself, but I still liked this scent. I haven't gotten sick of the smell yet. It is very light and floral. It's perfect for an every day fragrance. I feel like the white tea part of the scent lasts the longest. Which is great because I love white tea. It's nice and earthy, but also crisp and refreshing. The Pear Blossom adds the sweetness. I have had so many people ask me what I'm wearing and they love it. One of my friends already went out and bought some for herself. Like I said though, I would prefer something fruity so this one isn't for me. But it's still a great scent that I like smelling on other people.

I also got to try some Country Crock spread. I grew up using margarine because it costs less than butter. And we always bought Country Crock because it tasted the best. But once we switched over to real butter I've had a hard time going back. But if I ever use margarine then it has to be Country Crock. It's great for baking and adding to vegetables. We use it all the time now because it saves us a little money and tastes like butter. And of course I get the kind with added calcium. We can use the extra vitamins wherever we can get them.

Overall, I've had a blast trying out everything from the Harvest Voxbox. And nothing has disappointed. And if you don't believe me then try it for yourself. Or come on over and I'll show ya. Happy Harvest everyone and hope you found something you love too!

Innx Dual Seat Protectors

If you are planning on taking a trip this holiday season with you pet then I definitely recommend getting a seat protector.

I got a chance to try out the Innx Dual Seat Protectors. I love them. I drive a 2015 Camry and they have the headrests that are just connected to the bench. Luckily this still worked with them.

They even have an adjustable strap with a buckle to work with the different styles of vehicles.

They have a plastic piece that I tucked into the seat crevice to keep them in place. They also have an elastic band at the bottom to wrap around the bottom of the seat. However, my seat doesn't fully separate at the botttom so I struggle to keep that part attached.

This cover also features openings so that you can still use the seatbelt buckle receivers. I can even use the special child carseat hooks and leave the cover in place.

Overall, this seat cover seems to be pretty great. They feel like they are made with quality material. They are put together very well. The stitching is done professionally. And they are actually practical unlike some other seat protectors.

You find it on Amazon HERE.

You can also watch my Youtube video, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Coming back

When I first started blogging it was all about me. Everything was personal.
Then I began tracking my exercise and diet routines and fitness progress along with my usual posts.
Then I created two separate blogs - one for fitness and one for life.
Then I started doing reviews and joined that with my life blog.
I stopped doing reviews and blogging altogether. Having a child and working and prepping for a bikini competition consumed every second I had.
Then I started blogging again.
Then I started reviewing again. And then that's all I did.
I went back and removed all of my personal posts. I deleted all of my fitness posts. I removed one blog completely and returned to my original blog.
But all it is is reviews.
I want to start getting personal again. I want to share my life. It's not pretty, but it's worthwhile. I feel like I could help others through my experiences.
This past year I've felt like I should be blogging again, but I'm always waiting for when I have time.  That never comes. I cannot ignore this prompting anymore. I know that it's time to open up, but I don't know how I should. I don't want to expose myself completely, but I haven't decided where to draw the line. So bear with me please as I figure this out.
I hope that I reach those that can benefit from my trials and triumphs. I'm warning you right now though that I will be crossing a line that I had drawn the last time I blogged - religion. I was too afraid to touch that subject before because I didn't want to offend anyone or step on toes. But that is Me. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I hope that you can still stick with me even if we may not agree.
I love you all and am anxious, nervous, and excited for our new journey.

But for now I am off to bed. Goodnight!

The Flip

I have been wanting to read for so long, but I can never seem to find the time. I have so many books sitting on my shelves waiting in line. I currently have four books sitting on my head board next in line. And I am smack-dab in the middle of another that I can't wait to finish.

When I received this book it had been about two years since I had actually read a book. I know, that's horrible. Especially since I truly love to read. But as soon as I started reading The Flip I couldn't put it down. I was hooked. I actually finished it in less than a week. And now my reading fire has been reignited.

I hate anything that is scary. I will not watch scary movies. I hate haunted houses. I haven't even watched Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or Star Wars because the characters are too frightening for me. I can handle real life threats just fine, but if it's sci-fi then it's a big fat "NO!" However, I took a chance on this book and I am so glad that I did.

It wasn't bad at all. It was very suspenseful and at times frustrating, but I did not find it terrifying. I did not have bad dreams after reading this novel, which I am notorious for. It never got under my skin or made me feel uneasy. I actually found it very fascinating and compelling.

I loved the characters. They way Cash draws you into their lives is smooth and easy. I quickly became attached to each of them. Cheering them on, warning them of the foreboding danger, and gasping for air in their times of terror.

Cash depicts each scene so perfectly that you can see it for yourself. You can feel the air, see the grime, and touch the walls. The house that Julie and Brad are flipping actually have "walls that can talk." The stories unfold before you as you walk further into its halls.

I don't want to give anything away so I really don't want to tell you what the story is about or what my favorite parts are. All I can say is that is an easy, quick, and great read. When it finished I actually wanted more. I was so enveloped in the lives that were lost and the lives that were given. The history of the house was just as exciting as the present circumstances of the renovators.

I did get a little uneasy with a few parts. There were some scenes that were a little sexual. They didn't get too in-depth, but it was still more than I would recommend. They were kind of important for two of the characters to progress, but I still kind of wish that they would have avoided these parts. The descriptiveness in the moments of foreplay could have been avoided. For this reason I would not recommend it to teens that are already so heightened.

Michael Phillip Cash

All in all, I enjoyed this book. Cash is a very talented author. I hope that more people will be able to enjoy his artwork. For those that are looking for a new kind of story then I recommend this book. Just be warned that there are some suspenseful parts, some cursing, and a few sexual scenes (nothing explicit, but enough that I would warn a friend). I can't wait to read another novel by Michael Phillip Cash.

You can find The Flip on Amazon HERE.

You can also check out Cash's website HERE.

Or follow him on Twitter.

P.S. He actually gave me a bonus book that I also get to enjoy!
This will be the next book after I finish reading the one I'm currently finishing.

I received this book complimentary so that I could read it and provide an unbiased review.

Live Infinitely Double Camping Hammock

Alright, so I think this is my absolute favorite product right now. It is pure bliss. I wish I had two trees in my yard so that I could enjoy it anytime I wanted. Instead, I can take it to the park, the beach, camping, or hiking.

It is really easy to set up and take down. It doesn't require any tools or special skills. I mean heck, I can do it. Once you figure out what you're doing you can have it set up in less than 5 minutes. That's pretty impressive.

This package is awesome because it comes with the tree straps, a carrying case, carabiners and the hammock. And it isn't expensive at all. I never bought one of these before because I assumed it would break my bank, but nearly anyone can afford it. That's pretty impressive because the ones that come with a stand are out of my price range. And I can't take them on vacation with me like I can with this one.

Just because it's affordable doesn't mean it's cheap though. This hammock is actually great quality! The stitching was great and the material was as strong as I had hoped. I haven't tested to see if it can hold 450 lbs, but I know that it can at least hold 185 lbs (me and my two daughters). I'll try it out with a couple of more people and let you know if we tear it to shreds. I doubt that we will though because it's pretty tough. I haven't tried it with an animal, but I'd be careful with a dog or cat. I don't think they could put it a hole in it, but I'd use my best judgement with their nails. But it is huge, so there is definitely plenty of room to share it with a friend or canine.

I haven't had a need to wash mine yet, but you're supposed to be able to throw it in the washing machine. And the color isn't supposed to fade. Which is great because the color is beautiful!

I have used a couple of other Live Infinitely products and I have been greatly impressed with their products. You can find their collection on Amazon.

I love how light it is because I can take it hiking and it doesn't add too much weight to my pack since I already have to carry a 25 lb child up the mountain.

I apologize that I don't have any unique photos on this post yet. My phone stopped working and I can't access the pictures on it. I know I know... I should have had everything backed up. You have no idea how many reports, essays, and projects I have lost over my educational years. And yet, I still have not learned. As soon as I can I will either load the pics once I get them or go take new ones so you can see it in use. Until then, just enjoy these. (P.s They are all from the Live Infinitely Amazon page. They are not my own.)

Vintage Leaf Wide Elastic Stretch Waist Belt

I am drawn to all things natural. I love neutrals and deep greens. I love leaves, feathers, and stones. A shady spot on a lush patch of grass where I can stare at the flowers is serenity. Maybe it's because of my horoscope? Maybe it's because were are made from the Earth? Maybe it's because nature was made for man? Whatever it is, I love it.

That is why I instantly fell in love with this belt. I knew from the second that I laid eyes on it that I had to have it. Once it arrived in the mail and I saw it in person I was head over heels.

It is the perfect elastic belt. It can be paired with so many different outfits. It takes most of my wardrobe and dresses it up. I chose black because I knew I would need something that would match a ton of different days.

It doesn't snag my shirts. It doesn't come undone while I'm walking around. It doesn't lose its elasticity. It doesn't roll. It fits just like the size chart said it should. It is very well made and you will see me wearing it over and over.

You can find it on Amazon HERE.
