ReflectX Mirror

"Don't drop the soap!"

Are you superstitious? If so, then you'll love this post.
It'll prevent you from being the unfortunate receiver of 7 years bad luck.

Have you ever tried using a mirror in the shower. There are many problems when it comes to seeing your reflection at bath time.

1. A smooth surface like a mirror becomes slick and hard to hold onto
2. If you drop a mirror it's probably going to shatter
3. If it shatters and you're naked and barefoot you're in BIG trouble
4. Mirrors fog up in a warm and moist environment
5.Trying to hold a mirror, razor, shaving cream, or any other beauty products can be quite the dangerous juggling act
6. Suction cups usually give out after a while, and usually at inopportune moments
etc.

You get the point. It's frustrating.

But Mirror On a Rope has found a great solution for this. They have designed a mirror on a rope that is specific for bathrooms.

I love the rope feature because you can hang it practically anywhere. It can be hung from the shower head, window latch, curtain rod, off the shampoo bottle, etc. And it is adjustable. So whether you are tall or short it will work work for you. It's a nice sturdy rope that is going to last for quite some time. I just wish they had chosen a material that wasn't absorbent. I think plastic would have been a better option to prevent mold growth. But you can easily wash the rope. Just remove it from the mirror and throw it in the wash.

The mirror is about 1/8" thick. A lot of shower mirrors are so thin that they bend and curve which creates the fun-house mirror effect. This mirror is thick and sturdy though.
And the mirror is crystal clear. It is even better than the mirror above my sink. I've been half-tempted to start using it to apply my makeup. lol.
Plus, most mirrors have a cheap plastic on the back that peels over time. The back of the ReflectX Mirror is covered with the most advanced boat and race car wrap material available. This wrap material can withstand conditions such as 150+ MPH winds mixed with water and road debris. So, it can definitely withstand a shampoo and shave in your shower.

It comes with a little hook that you can attach to your shower wall and hang the mirror off of with the hole in the corner. This will keep the mirror steady so that you can see your reflection clearly without it tilting or swiveling. I chose to attach the hook the mirror itself though because I can hang it off my daughter's toy caddy. If you hang the mirror off of the hook then you don't need to use the rope.

Best of all, the mirror does not fog up. I don't know how they did this, But it is pretty ingenious. In order to make sure it doesn't fog up you simply hold the mirror near the warm water for about 10 seconds.

The mirror also comes with a little velour bag. It is perfect! It is just the right size for the mirror and comes with a drawstring to easily close the bag. This is great for those men that travel a lot and like to shave in the shower. If you use the mirror by the hook most of the time then you can just store the rope in the bag so that you have a way to hang it when you are away. The mirror is 5" x 4" and so it is small enough to easily toss in a suitcase and large enough for daily use.

I don't shave my face. Although I know a lot of girls that do it for exfoliating purposes. However, it is quite convenient when trying to remove makeup or applying a face mask. Plus, who doesn't like to see themselves look like George Washington with the suds??... maybe that's just me?

Either way, it's a great product. And it's a great idea for a Father's Day gift which is right around the corner. Don't forget!
